Bastia is a lively town with a typical Italian heritage and a gorgeous Citadel overlooking the Med. After a short shuttle from the airport, we’ll introduce the tour and we’ll help you out with the bike fitting. According to arrival time we’ll have a short warm up ride along the coast, being sure to have time enough for a mandatory aperitif!

From Bastia to Saint Florent

Discovering Cap Corse we ride the 3 faces of the rocky finger: the rolling East coast, the inland mountain pass and finally the stunning breathtaking drops of the western side. We are are pretty sure you've never been cycling in such a beautiful landscape. Simply stunning.

From Saint Florent to Calvi

The day starts through the wild Desert of Agriates, then we climb inland to Belgodere to enjoy a natural amphitheater facing the vastness of the sea, before going down to the bustling port of Calvi dominated by the ancient walls and the citadel.

From Calvi to Porto

A day in the middle of the wild through porphyry rocks, thick Mediterranean bush and stunning sceneries on the sea. The delta of Fango River, the Bocca a Croce Pass on the rugged shores of Scandola headland, and the lovely hamlet of Porto carved into red rocks makes this ride unforgettable.

From Porto to Porticcio

We begin with an absolute landmark of Corsica: Les Calanche de Piana. We'll really fell like pedaling through a wonderland of pink granite and pine trees. After a rolling route along beaches of Cargese and Sagone we climb up to the mountain hamlets before to finish the day on the coast of Porticcio.

From Porticcio to Propriano

The shortest ride of the week is almost all along the coast, don't forget your swim suite in your daily bag! After the touristic settlements of Porticcio the road leave more space to rural landscapes, we'll enjoy the lively marina of Propriano with its several bars.

From Propriano to Bonifacio and Santa Teresa

Today we meet our climbs in the first part of the ride, enjoying a taste of "vielle" Corsica passing through the nice villages of Arbellara and Sartene. Despite its turbulent history Sartène is a welcoming village rich in traditions and healthy food, producing the finest wine of the Island, should we stop here... The day ends along the impressive white cliffs of the romantic Bonifacio, here we take the ferry to Santa Teresa di Gallura.

DAY 8

Departure

Arrivederci!

For those continuing The Mediterrenean Ride through Sardinia today there awaiting the wonderful beaches of the Costa Smeralda. For others it is the departure day, after breakfast we accompany you to Olbia airport or port.
